Charvet’s Home And Garden is a family-owned and operated business, dedicated to the Lake Pontchartrain region. The Charvet family has been in the garden center, landscape, and nursery business for almost 100 years! The history of the Charvet family’s gardening experience goes way back to the early 1900’s.
Currently, Carol Charvet is the owner, and her grandmother, Ruth Charvet, raised cut flowers that her son sold on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans when he was just a boy.
In 1968, he began his first Charvet-owned garden center. Carol has been working in her family’s business since she was a pre-teen. Now, 40 years later, she is the owner of the family legacy of the Charvet name, which has a reputation for the highest-quality and most superior work in landscaping.
